Howa Stock
I recently purchased a Howa barreled action (22/250 Heavy barrel) and am putting it in a laminated stock. I will be glasbedding. Are there any special kinks to inletting and fitting this action? Other than careful work and patience. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. [:)]

I have a lamanated stock for a Howa on the way. Don't expect any problems. You are correct on the careful work and patience. Mine should be here in a few days. Will let you know if I run across anything special.

Thanks! It looks pretty straight forward to me too, but you are probably 2 - 3 weeks ahead of me, and I would appreciate hearing about it if you see something that gives you trouble. Thanks again. 0 -
Where did you buy your Howa action? I had a 300 win mag a few years ago made by Howa,it was super accurate.I would love to build my own rifle with one of there barreled actions. Randy W.[?] 0 -
Check the importers web sight for a local dealer. www.legacysports.com/ I haven't had a chance to shoot mine yet but I am impressed with the manufacturing quality so far. Good luck[:)] 0 -
What brand of laminated stock are you using?

I have a custom rollover ordered from Richard's microstock. Boyd's have laminated stocks for the Howa also. A liitle less money but I have used one from Richards before and the quality and inletting was very good, so I went with what I knew. The wait is really killing me thou. [:(] 0 -
The Boyd's stocks are also high quality with excellent drop in fit. The action is flat bottomed with a locking lug, very well designed for a tight fit. The glas bedding should give no problems. 0 -
Thanks for the info. Think I will order a Boyd's JRS for the Howa and a Richards microfit classic for an Interarms Mark X. Know I will have to wait for both of them.
