Mystery Rifle.....
A while back, seems like about a month or six weeks ago, someone had a .30-06, or maybe it was a .243 rifle that they were trying to Identify. Seems like it developed to be a Mauser action. Also seem to remember it was marked with a "JJ" or something like that. Someone speculated it was an "early Colt."
I can't seem to find this post by doing a search. Anyone remember this? Anybody help me here? Thanks!

Jefferson Manufacturing Company of North Haven, Connecticut. Fabricated 5,000 Coltsman Sporting Rifles for Colt in 1957 only. They were built on F N "Supreme" actions. There is a conflict regarding which calibers were available, different sources give 30-06, 300 H H. & 243.
Who exactly "Jefferson Man. Co." is/was is unknown? There are no other records available, regarding them manufacturing any other firearms!0 -
