    Hello to all.
I am sure this question has been asked many times, but here it is again. I have a Favorite 1915 and I have had a few issues with it. It has had a few accidental discharges where the shell rim slipped underneath the extractor and when the action was closed, BANG!! Luckily, no injuries and a new extractor is on the way. My question, did all Favorites have a half-cock hammer? Mine does not seem to have one. The hammer does hold up a little off the breech block but just. Not enought to clear the firing pin when the lever is closed. I have never had a discharge this way but it bothers me a little bit. I took the hammer and trigger out and the the slots where the trigger engages the hammer look to be crisp and in good condition, but I am no gunsmith so i could be wrong. Also, the top of the trigger where it engages looks good but it is not flat all the way across. On the right side there is a tab that seems to extend up that rides next to the hammer when in place in the action. Is this normal? I know it is hard to diagnose without pictures and if those would help, let me know and I will upload some. Thanks in advance to all.
