Sig 229 .40 vs. 220 .45
I have a 200 with trijicon sights, and have found that the gun seems less accurrate than my glock 26. I like the 229 though and am actively trying to buy one.
The question is -- should I have a gunsmith re tool the action and sightin on the 220? or should I sell it.

The reason you cant do both is???? I like the Sig alot. I have a P220 and have had a P229 in both 357Sig and .40. The .40 can match the .45 in the 185gr loading. It cam be souped up with Corbon to be as effective as the 357mag. All that being said I like my P220 in .45acp. I would suggest that you do what you need to for the P220. Save some $ and buy the P229 if you still want to after the tune up. My 2 cents [8D]

I agree the .40 cal offers more fire power as well.I love my P-229 in .357sig.I also like the P-220,but as said above the .40 S&W will do anything the .45 will, maybe even better.Good Luck!
