Anybody shoot or reload for 25-284
Went to a gunshow today and bought a Remington 722 that had been rebarreled to 25-284. Ive got a reloading manual with this in it but would like any practical knowledge thats out there on reloading dies powder, brass or bullets. Thanks

great caliber. my sako likes h4831 and 87 gr sierra's. hodgdon list this caliber in their reloading manual so that may be your best bet for data. 0 -
also you may have to anneal your brass to keep them from splitting when resizing you will have less loss if you anneal them first 0 -
If you get Lapua 6.5/284 brass and turn the necks before necking down to 25, you might cure the neck splitting problem. Just a little tip. GHD 0 -
GHD and buckdeer are spot on. I have a friend who has a heavy gun (60lb) in 30shv, a caliber created by Bill Shehane, who has to go through 4 steps in sizing down to get the 404 jeffrey brass down to 30cal. Sizing from 6.5 to 6mm should be no problem in that caliber. Turning the necks is a good thing before sizing, and will help with neck tension when the final rounds are formed. Take the time to form down correctly. It pays dividends at the end.
Also, look at redding dies or forster.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
