Parker Hale 1200
I have, over the years, collected identical Parker Hale Rifles. I have two 1200 Supers in 30/06 and 25/06 calibers. And one 1200M Super Magnum in 7mm mag. They were all imported by Jana, Denver Colorado. All have identical 24" barrel, Tip up rear sight, Hooded front sight, Chrome bolt, with cherry wood grip base and square fore end. I was wondering if anyone knew how to date the manufacture or import of these good looking tack drivers.

Any info on Parker Hale Rifles would be great. I have heard the mauser action was made in Spain and the rifle assembled in Birmingham England.

I can't give you the specific year of production for your rifles. But as they were made for a relatively short period of time ( 1983 - 1991), a "ball park" figure will be better then nothing.
Parker-Hale went into production of the M 81 series action ( which your rifles are built on ) in 1983. Navy Arms bought them out in 1991, but they were only in production with a similar type of rifle for two years, under the "Gibbs Rifle Company" name.0
