    Well, I guess it would depend on the model of gun you did this to. If it was done to a gun that has significant historical value then yea even in poor condition there are "certain" guns that will retain a collector value. Just make sure of the gun you are doing this to, that's about all I can say. If it's just a run of the mill older gun that was common then you're probably safe.

    I would be "very careful " as to how i altered any firearm. I can remember back to the good old days when you could walk into most any gun shop. and many retail stores and find 1903-a1 ,enfeilds and many other surplus arms stacked in cardboard barrels. Your choise at $15. ea. they were so commion people bought them to make floor lamps out of them. true many were converted into fine sporting rifles.
    but almost all are now hard to find in orginal . and cost much more then they are worth as floor lamps or sporting rifles. [B)]
