Tec-9 ectractor
I recently purchased a tec-9 and have noticed the absence of a shell extractor. Upon looking at breakdown drawings of this gun they show one there but I am unsure if I am looking at the correct drawing. Will this gun function without one as I am trying to locate a firing pin as well

I have looked there and the drawing they show there has one and they list a the extractor(sorry for the misspelling in the title). But was wondering as mine does not have one and from what I can tell it never did? Is it needed to function? 0 -
I don'have that exploded drawing and can't see enough from the screen. It's my understanding that the Tec-22 doesn't have one, I bet the Tec-9 doesn't either. Ask Hank about this. He is a good guy and knows a lot more about Intratec than I. He may even have your parts.

Sounds like you have a very early tec-9 or the extractor has broken and fallen out. The first gen tec's did not have extractors. They relied on gas pressure to "blow" the spent case from the chamber.
This system was, to say the least, not terribly reliable, even in a blow back action. It was only used during the first year of production. Guns sold with this sytem were recalled and fitted eith the new style bolt with case extractor. The extractorless bolt has no provision for an extractor, while the improved bolt has the extractor slot cut into it.0
