Whitewolf,
Welcome to the forum. I'm a little lazy so I cut & pasted a bad experience with a Charles Daly product that I posted in a previous thread.
quote:Stay away from Charles Daly! I bought one of their Semi-Auto 12ga thinking wow $250 for a new Semi-auto 12! Bad idea! The gun double feeded from the factory.
I took it trap shooting and thought it worked fine. But when shooting trap you only shoot one shot, no need to load the magazine. Took it out Pheasant hunting loaded the chamber loaded the tube, took a shot at a pheasant & wham worst possible jam ever! Both shells popped out of the magazine tube completely locking the gun up. Had to use a screwdriver to pry it apart. Gun quickly became a single shot for the rest of the hunt. Sent it back to the factory, got it back & sold it. Stick with what you know.
Based off of that experience, I will never buy one of their products again. Would I rely on one of their pistols? No way. If your looking at that price range have you considered a CZ75 type? I also hear the new auto ordinace pistols are pretty good. Or even the base line Sprinfields are not bad either.

Thanks for the information[8D] I have shot a CZ 75 and am really impressed with it, however I like the .45 ACP round much better than a 9mm. Came across the Charle Daly and it looked good, but wanted to know if it was the bargin it seemed or too good to be true.[:(]

Look around maybe you can find a Baby Eagle in .45 or a Witness in the same.

would not "bet your life" on a home defense situation. comparable priced pistols are available. eg: star, cz, ruger. 0
