Mateba Auto-Revolver

I saw an ad in S-N a couple of months ago but can't remember who had them. Can anyone help me out?

  I have been scouring the net for sources to acquire Mateba's auto-revolver, and have have been absolutely fruitless! The company that makes them is based in Italy and that makes it even worse. I've wiki'd them, and googled their manufacturer and haven't come up with anything resembling something useful.
  
  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  Ah yes the Mateba, the answer to the question that never should've been asked. We've had 4 come through our shop, all 4 have been returned to the factory for repairs. Are you really sure you want one?

  Guys. Thanks for the replies. No, I don't really want one but a friend that I am doing some design work for is bound and determined to create a revolver that shoots from the bottom chamber. I just want to see how this piece is put together. Right drobs, what were these guys (mfgr) thinking?!

  I recall back in the 80's there were a couple other revolvers made that shot from the bottom cylinder. Maybe a special S&W?

  Russia's making a few that shoot from the lower chamber. They're called the AEK-970 or something like that. I don't think any have been imported yet, but they look really cool!

  Wow. I never heard of a bottom firing revolver until this Mateba. If anyone could steer me toward a S&W model I sure would appreciate it. It would be a big help not to have to work with the auto/revolver system.

  Awesome concept, but poorly executed.
  
  I bought their .44 Magnum in early 2000, ended up selling the fourth one they sent me - after many, many problems related to proper cylinder lock-up, among other things - back to the distributor last year for what I paid for the first one new.
  
  It was accurate (I bought the 8" barrel & shroud later; 6" was the stock configuration) and quite a bit of fun to shoot, and an AWESOME PIECE to look at!
  
  You want something intimidating in a hand gun, go for it! Just don't trust your life on it performing flawlessly every time you pull the trigger.
  
  There have been a few up on Gunbroker in the past, mostly the blued .357 magnums from what I remember.
