Value on heirloom Browning
My Uncle has given me a Browning Lightning O/U 12 gauge, serial #2xxx S2. I have been unable to locate any links by searching this forum or the official Browning site that might help me determine an approximate value (just for curiosity, it's not for sale). This gun has lots of "character" and would be valued strictly as a shooter. Any information concerning date of manufacture, how to determine which barrel is which choke (I have a measuring device somewhere) and value for fair to good condition would be appreciated.

in response to dkf - that's a good plan. What's the URL for the blue book?
thank you, pfd and nelchris

Look in the Blue Book of Gun Values and then you be the judge. 0 -
Manf: 1962, $500 to $800 in average used cond. If 90%plus and no cracked wood then would be higher. 0 -
