Rem 1100 3" will 2&3/4"bbl work
Will a 2&3/4" barrel work on a 3" Mag. Remington 1100? Will it fit and will it cycle properly? Thanks.

You can use a 2-3/4" barrel on a "Magnum " receiver....DO NOT USE 3" SHELLS IN A 2-3/4" BARREL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..The 2-3/4" chamber length will not allow a 3" shell to open fully and it will cause an increase in chamber pressure.... The 3 shell won't eject because of the position of the ejector.... Please be careful.... 0 -
PUT ONE ON MY 20GA. STD.AND IT WORKS GREAT.FOLLOW JIM'S ADVICE.IF IT SAYS 2 3/4" THATS WHAT YOU USE OR YOU MAY BE LOOKING FOR A NEW GUN. 0 -
Thanks for the input. I know you don't use 3" shells in a 2&3/4" barrel but I was not sure the shorter chambered barrel would fit and cycle properly. 0
