    Yes, over the years I have seen several of these "for shot only" rifles. Remington and Winchester both made them from about 1890-1920. There were also several different models made in Europe. They were chambered for the .22 rimfire shot cartridge as well as the 9MM shot cartridge. They were used for pest control and some exhibition shooters used them to break glass balls thrown into the air. The shot cartridges were safer to use for aerial targets then would be a solid bullet. Without a full discription or good pictures it is impossible to say which one you have.

    It's possible that its a .22 WRF Shot Shell...Hav'nt a clue as to who made the gun..........
