high standard riot shotgun
I bought a high standard riot shotgun a few months ago and had to register as a hand gun thats fine but it has a colapsible stock and i dont like it can any body tell me were i can find parts for this gun. and all information to be had about this gun would be nice to.

i own a high standard riot shot gun 12 gauge. iwas told it came from u.s. army not so sure need help on how to find out.

My research on your question indicats that High Standard made a "Police Riot" gun in 18" and 20" bbl and that the model was discontinued in 1975. If it were an Military issue it will be marked as such. What markings are on the barrel or on the side of the receiver? The company was moved to Houston Texas in 1993 after it closed in 1984. The company has manufactured some military weapons since moving to Houston but I do not think it would be a riot gun. 0 -
If it actually was from the army it will be stamped "US Property" somewhere, either on the receiver or the barrel. The US military purchased a number of High Standard shotguns in 12 gauge, with 24" barrels for general field use (not for combat). These were lumped in the M162 designation and carried the NATO stock number 1005-01-073-2368. I have listings and data for nearly 40 makes and models of shotguns used by our military, but this is the only High Standard shotgun that I can be sure was in inventory and held a NSN number.

I found one that looked to be in absolutely NEW condition two weeks ago and they were only asking $150 for it. Is it worth it? 0 -
If truckindad's shotgun has "US Property" stamped on it, it is undoubtedly stolen. At the minimum it will be confiscated; at the maximum, he will spend up to 5 years in federal prison.
So, hopefully, it is a plain old civilian model.
Just about ANY 12 ga shotgun in working condition is worth $150.
