I use a Sierra 90 gr HPBT in front of 54.7 gr of 4350. Best load for my particular weapon, but wait for GHD to jump in--he's the 25-06 guru around here. 0 -
I like the Nosler 85gr. Ballistic Tip with 4831 or 4350 powder. Start with about 54 grains of 4831 and work up. Or about 52 grains 4350 and work up to a safe max load. Use either Hodgdon or IMR, depends on what your gun likes. Also used to have good luck with the Speer 100 grain hollow point. I would recommend that you not use any of the faster burning powders. The 25-06's I have used all liked the slow burners. In my opinion, you have one of the best long range varminters there is. Good Luck. 0 -
Here are a few for you to try!
75 grain V-Max, 58 grains H4831sc, CCI 250 (my OAL is 3.228) Not maximum but accurate! The new DS is in the .2s with this one
85 gr Nosler BT, 55 grains Reloader 19, CCI 250,(OAL is 3.252)This one chrono'd at 3655 average from my 26 inch barrel and is in the .3s
75 grain V-Max, 49.7 gr. Varget, Fed 210Match
You can try these and you can also go up to 62 gr. of 4831 behind the 75 VMax. Also you can go up to 57 grains of Reloader 19 behind the BT. I also shot some 90 grain Sierras ahead of 58 grains of H4831 but they were not as accurate in my gun. Also 59.0 grains of IMR 7828 behind the 85 gr BT and a CCI 250 primer gave good accuracy but not quite up to the Reloader 19 loads. Hope this helps! GHD PS See ya'll in church!!0
