10/22 age......steel butt-plate

How old of a gun does it have to be to get one with a steel butt-plate? Having the steel butt-plate, will it also NOT have the warning stamped on the bbl? Won't these also be walnut and not birch?

Is this something that is that important, or is it just me. That is, having one with all these componets combined.

  The metal butt plates were actually aluminum an had either an anodized or teflon-coated finish. The transition from metal to hard plastic(Celcon) happened in November 1976.
  
  Walnut was officially dropped as a stock material in 1981 due increased cost of that wood. Birch became the new wood for 10/22 stocks.
  
  The WARNING rollmarked into the barrel began in 1977.
  
  Having a 10/22 with all of these traits simply means that it was most likely made before Nov 1976 and that it is most likely all original.
