hy queeksdraw, High-point does make a 45 a JS45 or JH45 and yes they are boat anchors. The company that once was Stallard Arms prior to 1993 sold by MKS Supply is now High-Point.
I have one of their carbines and it is fun to shoot. Ugly as hell but fun to shoot. I'm not sure that I'd want to rely on it though.
But back to your question, The 45 msrp is $169.00 nib.
    down to $70.00 for 60%

we have one in 9mm in the shop right now, and just sold its .45ACP brother last week. the .45 went for $90.00 cash, and the 9mm is priced at $80.00. these guns are heavy, ugly, of dubious quality, and are the bottom rung of semiautomatic pistol design. its probably OK for plinking at the range, as long as you stay under 185 gr load wise. i would not stake my life or property on it as a self defense or carry piece. best regards, mike.

Thanks to all that replyed. I did find it, it is spelled Hi-Point not like my friend said.Pg 266 of 2003 Gun Digest and Pg 729 of Fjestads book. Well now I know how to reply to him. I dont know why he got this thing he is not a gun person at all. I'v been on him to get a 12 ga. pump for some time, I supose the price was to good for him to pass up, thanks again to all.

You'v gota kill it to grill it
