Latest B B, says your rifle is "Rare, because Winchester had problems with .358". Worth substantially more then other calibers because of this! The range given, is $1,025 to $1,500, for 80 to 95 per cent respectively. 0 -
I think would be worth 1600 to 1800 or more according to prices I see in the gun shops. I have never seen a 358 but standard 270 can run to 1200 in great shape so the 358 should be worth more.

Roger Rule's Mod 70 book "The Rifleman's Rifle" shows that the .358 was offered in low comb featherweight only for 18 months in 1955 & 1956. Less than 2000 were made and some were recalled. Thats less than 1/3 of one per cent of pre-64 mod 70's. Condition aside, there is a significant value add for rarity. Ive found one for sale currently. Its listed as 99% (near as new) for $2400. That almost double the value of the same gun in .270, .308,.243 or 30-06.
