Rem. mdl 14 buttplate

Can someone please tell me if this buttplate is plastic or metal? I am looking for one to make my rifle ALL Remington.

  the m-14 i have (.35 cal.)has a metal b.plate

  Mike, thanks for the reply. I have a mdl 14 in 25 Rem; when I got it someone had put a cut-down plastic Winchester buttplate on it. I couldn't find any reference to kind of plate in any of my books. Emery

  I have a model 14-A and it has a metal buttplate anf to my knowledge it is all original.
