I also purchased a box in DeLand, Florida at a gun show last weekend. They were $11.99 plus tax. This CCI ammo is hollowpoint bullets not the polymer tip bullets like the Hornady ammo, that I am familiar with. I don't know if CCI is making variations of this ammo. Hopefully the price will eventually decrease some in the not to distance future.

Worry is the interest humans pay on the debt of miscalculation.

I picked up five boxes of these on Monday. I hope to try them out on Saturday. Fortunately my dealer is not taking advantage of the shortage and i paid only $8.19 per box. He did limit me to five boxes though! I have been told that CCI is manufacturing the 17 HRM ammo for both Remington and Hornady, but I am not certain about this. If so, the shortage may continue for some time.

By the time I got done with what work I had to do this AM and got back home the wind was blowing and then the rain hit! So unless it slows down or stops here in the next hour or so the R&D on the CCI won't get done today! Did take DS and the 17 with me and stopped by a field on the way home and caught one old hog out about 200 yards, too windy for the little gun but DS has now got a confirmed lift him up, turn him a flip, red mist flying, connection using a 75 grain VMAX!! Sarah saw the results and said, 'Now I know exactly what Devastation Supreme is!" GHD

Rain stopped but wind didn't lay but had to try it anyway! The Hornady cluster 3 shots into a tiny little space of just less than 2/10 but a couple gusts of wind during the group skewered the group! Total group size extreme spread was 1.4 inches@ 100 yards. The 3 shots that were close were the 1st,3rd and 4th shot. Numbers 2&5 were wind victims. Then went to the CCI. Extreme spread on it was 2.1 inches and only 2 of them were close(actually cut hole). That was the first try and not great conditions so don't put any stock in this one! While shooting the 17, I did manage to shoot a couple .250's with the 25-06 and the 75 grain VMax's! Now I need to chrony that one! GHD
