Dings in .223 brass
I have a lot of .223 brass that must have been fired in an AK type rifle. They all have a minor dent in the case body. I know they will iron out apon fireing, but is this a hazzard? Are they going to blow out after two or three loadings?

I would not anticipate a problem if you do not intend to re-fire them in another dent-causing rifle. Were you to do so, it stands to reason that a certain percentage of the time the casing would again be dented in the same spot, and the wall might be weakened. But you should experience no problem when reusing the brass in another rifle.
Inspect them carefully to assure that they are only dented and not split. Some of the dent may "iron out" when you resize the brass; and as you stated, the rest should disappear when you fire the reloaded brass.0 -
Must have been shot thru one of MR Rugers grand inventions ...mini14 or ranch rifles! No wonder the coyote population is exploding!! It's not due to the accuracy of those guns and causing the coyotes to explode! They have to be the nearest nothing of anything I have ever seen to be perpetrated on the consumer! Any HK type fluted chamber, delayed roller blow back type action will dent the doo doo out of brass as well.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

The AK actions dent brass either .223s or 7.62x39s.The edge of the top cover is what is doing it.You can stop the denting by removing the cover.But it will throw the brass so far you'll have trouble finding it.I know I've done it. [:)] [:D] [8D]
