    You don't. There is no mechanism for it. Check the user agreemment. Your bid is a binding contract.

    Maybe you will be outbid.

    It is possible for the seller to request that your bid be retracted but I assume you have a darn good reason to ask them to do so.
    Where do these idiots come from?

    Yeah, I found out to retract a bid you have to ask the seller to retract it.

    The problem is I came across a 9mm local that was a little more than I planned on spending. Bottom line is I dont have the money I thought I did.

    To avoid any problems with the seller being charged a fee, and any negative feedback as a result, I would like to just retract my bid. No arm no Foul, is the way I see it.

    The question here is did you place the bid prior to overspending, if so, than your feet should be held to the fire.

    Yes there is harm and yes it is a Foul. Your money situation was known at the time you bid on the rifle. That money should have already had a check written for it. If you had done this, you would have know that you did not have the money to buy the 9mm. Although I would, If not I would let the 2 bidder have it for his bid and ask you for the difference between the two bids. At least this would not be a Technical Foul on you but would stand as a charging foul which would not be penalizing you too much.

    I have found a great deal of people would like to retract there bids on this site and it is a lot of hassel for the seller's.I do offer to let some of the buyers out of there bid if they have a good reason but I do request they pay the final value and relisting fee's for the auction.If they don't I send out the non-paying bidder alert and request my final value and negative feedback is posted.I don't no if your seller would be willing to do this or not.

    A non paying bidder alert was mentioned in one of the posts on this topic. My question===is there a such thing as a non sending seller alert. If there is I may have to use it.
