.30 to .45

How hard is it to cut 30-06 or .308 brass to .45 acp? Do you have to turn the od? Any help would be appreciated.

  It all depends on what cartridge you are trying to form. If you are trying to make .45 ACP shot cartridges, then the answer is no, because when you run the case into a .45 shot die it will form a slight neck.

  Hello, it is not all that hard to do. I have done it just for dummy rounds without a bullet in them. I used a pipe cutter and a file so the lenght is not right. Also the thickness of the wall has to be thinned or the bullet won't go in.
