Smith & Wesson Mod A ???
Hello guys and gals, This is my first post to the message system and am wishing for some help about a rifle i have. The rifle is a Smith & Wesson Mod.A. On the barrel it has Mod A, Sweden, the serial #, nitro then Smith & Wesson 308 win. The rifle has a 23" barrel and is a bolt. I've been trying to do some research on this rifle and can find nothing on it. I just thought maybe someone here has heard of it or can offer a place to look it up for my records. If i can give any more details on the rifle that may be helpful i can, but this is all the marking on the gun. I would really like to know the value of the gun, it is in like new condition.

First welcome to the forum. There are many here with vast knowlege that willingly give a hand. Now for your question,
The S&W model A rifle was made by Husqvarna of Sweden and all that I have seen or handled have been of extremely high quality. They were made from 1969 to 1972 and show a book value of 330 for a rifle in 98% condition. Hope this helps.
