I just purchased a 6X18, It's nice and clear. I Have only had it a week but it seems like a nice scope to me.

Sir, I have had one of the old model 4-12's bought new in 1969 on a custom 25-06 all these years and it has never given any problems. Still a great scope. I also had a Golden 5-Star 6-18 for several years and thought it was a good scope. The only Redfields that I have seen that are not good are the Trackers. I also have a Redfield Illuminator, 3-12x56mm mounted on a 7STW and it has been superb, never has changed point of impact despite some rough rides in 4-wheelers. 0 -
Thanks for the input fellas.
Has anyone else used this scope? I am thinking about trying one out as a hunting scope on a Rem 700 .30-'06 I got a good deal on. I can pick one up for about $150 which seems like a fair price.
