Online trading problems
Here is the situation; I was contacted online by an individual that want to trade some items for something I had listed as FS or Trade. We sent pictures back and forth and all seemed fine. Problem was, Once this other person's item arrived, it was not as described. I told him that with in 6 hours of the items arrival at my dealer that I would be returning the item to him. Then he starts threatening me with lawyers and the, "a deal is a deal" stuff... To make a long story short, I returned his firearm to him within 3 days of receipt at my dealer( at my expense). Now this guy has refused shipment of the gun and keeps on with the lawyer threats. I don't want his item and I even offered to reimburse his shipping fees, but now all of these threats are beginning to piss me off. I have been trading online for a number of years and this is the first time that I have had to deal with such a person.This guy still wants me to send my gun to him, even after I told him that I was not satisfied with his merchandise. Any suggestions???? Thanks...

I don't know where you listed it, but most gun auction sites have a policy for a reasonable viewing time, seems to usually be 3 days. If he didn't "win" the listing, by using the "buy it now" or if he had the highest bid after closing that met the reserve (which normally he wouldn't have on a trade setup), then you guys just have a "gentlemans agreement" that likely wouldn't stand up in court anyway. If the item arrived not as described, then you aren't bound to buy it anyway. I would personally send him the shipping cost, and tell him to leave you alone - that is all you're doing. It is generally much safer for all involved to do a sale then purchase what you want.0
