Saiga. What is the break in period/rounds?
We shot our 12ga and 20ga, mags and guns are NIB, for the first time yesterday. The 20 had failure to feed in both the 2 3/4" and 3". Some 2 3/4 jammed into the overhead guide and the 3" had failures to pick up. Some 12ga, all were 2 3/4", failed to pick up. This is our first time with this kink of defense shot gun. Do we have problem or just need more shells?

  hello everyone. does anyone have one of these in .223 cal, and are they generally accurate and non- problematic? thanks,

  Unscrew the sling loop/bolt--it just unthreads. Then just pull the forearm down and out from where it's tucked in at the reciever. There may be a small spring on the receiver side, so pull it apart over someplace where you can recover the spring if it drops out.

  Well , I pulled out the screw and twisted,pulled,and pryed on the forearm with no movement at all. Am i doing something wrong or forgetting something? Please help

  I don't know; maybe they've changed something--my Saiga (in 7.62x39) is a few years old. You do have the rifle field stripped with the gas tube removed? If it's not, the slots in the tube would be preventing the forearm from moving forward. (And perhaps my original instructions should have been written "pull the forearm forward and down"--not the "down and out.") The end tucked in the receiver could be snug, but you should be able to work it forward.

  I agree with competentone as I have a new saiga in 7.62 x 39. They are a pain to remove but come out as he described.
