I'm trying to find a web site that will give me info on breaking down a MOSSBERG SHOTGUN, Model number 500A 12Ga. I want to break it down to every last spring. Not just a barrel or stock removel. Any help would be great. Thanks

  jcollier, I am never hesitant to go straight to the manufacturer for such info. My son has a Maverick 88 (essentially the Mossberg 500) in black plastic and matte black finish. We got him a replacement manual with exploded views/take-downs with no difficulty. You might give them a try at the following;

  DO NOT - DO NOT - DO NOT Knock out the pins or take apart the trigger group - just spray clean and lubricate LIGHTLY (if at all) the rest of the gun is very forward and uncomplicated

  there is a book you can order called "numrich". it is advertised in this months american rifleman. it is a must have book and worth every penny. about 15.00. exploded views of almost every gun with parts numbers and ordering info.

  Hello, The Sandman why do you say, "DO NOT - DO NOT - DO NOT Knock out the pins or take apart the trigger group"? I have taken them apart and put them back together to clean them and have had no, absolutely ZERO, troubles with them. I am just curious why you are so opposed to it.
