Iver Johnson .22 M1 carbine
I saw one of these in a store recently and was impressed with it. The price was nice, it seemed pretty clean, shot very little. How do these perform? Any problems I should know about before I plunk down my money? Can you get parts or extra clips for these anymore? Thanks.

Iver Johnson has been gone for a while now. GunParts has both parts and mags. Cheap they ain't. $31USD for a 10 round mag. 0 -
this rifle was actually manufactured by erma werkes of germany and only imported by iver johnson. they are well built and great shooters. as stated above the magazines are expensive and the other question i get asked alot is for replacement rear sights.

A gent I met online from England was kind enough to send me copies (at no expense to me) of the original documentation for this rifle, only consisting of a spec sheet and an exploded drawing, and parts list. If anyone is interested I will provide the documentation at no cost as long as each recipient doesn't charge anyone else for copies. I agreed to that when I got my copies, and was impressed with the idea. So, there ya are.
a pic of my Erma EM1 is at the link below

Thanks for the replies. I gotta work late today, if the guy still has it Monday I may have to see if I can make a deal with him. 625, if I do I may want those spec sheets, nice pics of your stuff, by the way. Nice trophies too.

Has anyone seen these in 22 magnum? I see the 22lr come up for auction now and then. 0 -
Hi again Cletis,--yep, I've got one. Bought two of them about 1988, one for me and one for a friend. Mine has never been fired.
Best regards,
