info needed on movie firearms

braindead
looking for info about flash distributing co. they sell 25 caliber arms of movie quality. you can see thier add in shotgun news(vol 52 iss 34) or visit thier website @www.flashditributor.com. I need to know if these are worth buying or not any info would be appreciated.

    I'm not sure exactly what your criteria for "movie quality" guns are, but if you are looking specifically for a .25, Beretta makes a slick little tip-up barrel .25 auto.     They're toys, except they don't have orange muzzles. They ARE realistic looking ---- realistic enough to get you shot by an LEO.

    A waste of money, unless you live in Japan.

    I saw their ads years ago and I saw their guns. They were plastic toys. Yes I mean toys. As previously mentioned, I wouldn't waste my money on them if I were you. As with most things in the world, if the price looks too good to be true, it probably is.

    That was then, this is now.

    My initial response was based on what they offered years ago. My update here is in reference to what they sell today.

    In more recent years they have completely changed what they sell however. The quality and realism is 500% better than what they offered years ago. The prices today are higher, but the quality has gone up at the same time.

    Hello, who are we to tell him how, and on what, to spend his money? Some people say I spend too much money on guns, but it is what I like. So what if he wants to buy "toys", who cares? Let him buy "toys". I say that you have to do what makes you happy. I don't see how cutting down his want for these is helping anyone. I have been told guns are a waste of money too, did that stop me, NO. Because I don't let the majority lead my life. Don't try to lead his. Braindead, I wish you the best of luck in your search and may they become so valuable that you are the next Bill Gates, only not as dorky.
    If you don't like them, fine, don't buy them, but don't tell someone else how to shop.

    My comments were not intended belittle Braindead's inquiry. I simply wanted to convey the actual quality and construction of the items they offered years ago. The ones they offer today are different. They are toys yes, but they are decent representations of the real thing.

    They currently stock the more popular Air Soft line of guns. They are not as cheap, but the ones they offer today are noteably better than what they offered years ago. In that time period they were truly poor quality not even remotely up to the quality of the Air-Soft models out there today. My previous comments were directed to what they sold years ago, not their current offerings. Their offerings today are so far from what they were years ago, it isn't even funny. I have actually recommended the Air Soft line of guns to customers doing period re-inactments. In other countries where it is difficult, if not impossible, to own real guns, these guns are very popular. Guns that fire various size blank rounds can be found that not only look and feel real, but even make noise the same way.

    If these guns are what Braindead wants, I don't mean to discourage his purchase. I simply wanted to clarify what those guns are. They fire the .25 or 6mm plastic pellets. Some are even available in full auto. Some of their designs are reasonably priced, some can run several hundred dollars.


    Again I meant no disrespect, I only intended to answer the question to the best of my ability. I'm just saying that I believe most adults would find their quality to be better than that of a child's toy, but as mentioned, they can get you in trouble for that same reason. Their appearance can make them be mistaken for the real thing. They can get you shot or invite theft just as much as the real thing. In today's world, guns can be a prime target for thieves. They can also make your neighbors nervous. However, you can build a significant collection without spending an arm and a leg like you would if you were buying real guns. If that is what is desired, I wish any and all the best.
