Ever heard of American ammunition?

I'm tired of buying .38 special ammo by the 50 round box and am looking to buy 1000 rounds or so to save money. American ammunition has 38 special for very low costs (<$7.00 box of 50) Anyone ever heard of this ammo? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

  I bought a box of American (Miami, Fl) in 32 ACP no problem shoots as good as any other. Go for it.

  Our range uses American ammo with no problems, good and cheap price too!

  I used some in a Kimber 45 and was not impressed with them at all.Accuracy was poor and the power level was real low.But it did function well and left the gun real dirty.In the Dallas,Ft.Worth metroplex there is a reloader named Dallas Reloading service and i have been using there 38-357 LSW,158 gr.They sell for $50. for 500 and they shoot great in my Phython ,accuracy is good and they also leave your gun real dirty.   If this is the same ammo I think it is, it is hard to reload as the primer pockets are a bit smaller than standard. Thus making seating new primers difficult.[:(]

  Thank you all for your input. I am going to order a 1000 rounds of 38 special. It is $6.31 a box of 50 rounds. 1000 round with shipping is
  $132. The lowest costs place selling it is listed below. Good luck and I'll post later on how it works in my gun.

  HOLD THE FORT!!!!!!!!! I just called the people listed above and they want over $30. to ship me 700 rounds of 38 special. I told them "no way". They don't fool anyone by making their money on bloated shipping charges. Oh well, if anyone else knows where I can get some quantity 38 special for a decent price please post it. Thanks.

  Try www.cheaperthandirt.com they have Sellier&Bellot 38spl ammo for 6.97 a box and they don't charge you a fortune to ship it either.I have fired this ammo threw my 357mag and have had no trouble with it and it is pretty accurate and clean.I have also reloaded the brass with no trouble.

  I have used this ammo in 9MM and .40 S&W as well as .45acp.Its not much good for anything other than plinking,but can be bought very cheap.Try www.sportsmensguide.com I buy it bulk from them at much cheaper prices.Safe Shooting!
