Springfield Mdl. 18C .410 bolt - Value?

I just looked at this last night. Being sold by a friend. Could not get serial no. because owner lost the key for his wall-mount gun rack.
Looks very good outside, but did'nt look in the bore.
I'm wondering what to offer the guy. Maybe $75?

  Your "Springfield" has nothing to do with the former U.S. Armory, or the current commercial Springfield Armory. It was made by J. Stevens. They made a bunch of clip-fed and tube magazine 20 ga. and .410 bolt action, utility-grade, shotguns under the Stevens and Springfield trade names.
