Colt King Cobra
Have a chance to buy a blued colt king cobra with 6" barrel. Real nice shape for $550. can anyone give me a guess on what its worth so i know for sure if its a good buy?

Its not as good as a Python, but it is stronger made and for everyday carry its stronger than a Smith or Ruger or Taurus or Rossi or..... 0 -
Nice but from what I see people that are selling them think they are
Pythons too much$$$but then again if they bought it new 5 years ago and can make 200 on it after being shot ,there arent many guns you can say that about,I dont know if they are selling but they are trying0 -
The comment came from a dealer at a gun show. He had two used King Cobras on his table. One for $625 and $645 for the other. I couldn't believe it. They didn't sell. 0 -
I sold a 6" ss king Cobra last year for $500 to help finance my new Glock 22 with a lasermax internal laser sight. I paid $300 for the King Cobra at a gun show. I like my Glock much better.

Traded my King Cobra at a gun show two years ago and never looked back. Nice, HEAVY, revolver, but the double action trigger was very heavy. Colt's last attempt at making an "affordable" service revolver. Unfortunately semi-autos had already begun to take over in law enforcement. Probably be a nice revolver for hunters, but after carrying a Glock now for a few years as a cop, I wouldn't want to carry a King Cobra for 10 hrs. I much prefer my Colt .357 from the early '60's as a shooter. 0 -
Have a King Cobra 4" s.s.shots well, double action is a little stiff compared to my Python. Do not think you can go wrong with any Colt product, if just for pleasure or an investment. Should be able to find a "nice" one in the $450.00 to $600.00 range depending on condition. LNIB expect to pay big bucks!! 0 -
I've had a nice 6" King Cobra in my shop for almost a year at 410.00 and its has not so;d. Market is good for other handguns though. Also have a Python right next to it and it is not selling either. 0 -
Colts are generally fine guns. You might want to have a trigger job done on any wheelgun if the action needs it. Heavy is ok if you shoot it at the range or keep it in a drawer for self-preservation.
What sells or not is rarely the point. If you like the gun and the way it shoots for you, that's what matters.
