Winchester 1887

Anyone know where I might find a mainspring for a 12ga 1887 lever action Winchester??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I have a winchester 1887 shotgun.I measured the bore and
  it appears slightly larger than a 12 gage.I saw that thier
  was a rare caliber (70.150).I am wondering how to determine
  if this gun may be this rare caliber.I cannot find any markings
  indicating the gage,maybe i am not looking in the right spot.
  It appears the bore is roughly .015 - .020 larger than a 12
  gage. Thanks

  Probably have to make one for this Lever Action.

  Maybe from Jack First Gun Parts.....or some time ago (2) years or so a company in Aussie land was or is going to do a remake of the weapon....they did an article in the Cowboy Chronicle....AH HA!....went into the other room and there the article is.....Cowboy Chronicle, Jul 2001, Pg 54, by Gratton H Dalton SASS#5644......"Tristar Sporting Arms,LTD's Model 1887"....Model of 1887 12gauge, Manafactured by ADI, Lithgow, Australia. also please note the Aussie one is in Sillymeters nor inches...I don't have any e-address or Ph number.....Maybe call Cowboy Chronicle, Ph 1-(714)694-1800....do expect to pay up wards of $50 for a used one....BEST OF LUCK.......john.......Oh if anybody cares I was in the 82nd AIRBORNE

  Hi, try Western Gun Parts...www.westerngunparts.com I know a couple of years ago they had them, new made, for $30-35. Reminds me, I need to order another one myself. Hope this helps. Emery
