50 bmg or 338 lapua

    I would do the .338. I have a LAR Grizzly .50bmg which isn't too bad to shoot but I have shot other .50bmg's and I can honestly say that the recoil on some of them is at times brutal. The .338 has a good buck to it but it's not near the .50bmg. I also think a good .338 is probably a little more accurate than you will get in most .50bmg's. But, for sheer range, .50bmg all the way. I haven't priced rounds in either caliber for a long time but last I remember the .338 was cheaper too.

    If you want a 50bmg, buy a Barrett. that being said, the only choice left is the 338 lapua.

    The way I see it,If YOUR rifle shot as well as YOU say,...we wouldn't need gunsmiths.

    Buy a EDM Windrunner.

    You might want to look into .408 Chey-Tac also.

    338 lapua mag necked up to a 50 cal... if you have the cash...this can be done...very nice rifle...
