Mutilation substantially lowers the value of collectible firearms.

Your Model 1892 was made in 1894, but, to even guess at the value we need to know more about it. Are we talking about a rifle or carbine? How much of the original finish is left? What are the wood stocks like, new with all original finish, or dented and scratched, or cracked and broken? What is the condition of the inside of the barrel, bright and shiney or sooty stove pipe? How badly was the magazine tube cut and were the original holes filled? Check the length of the barrel to make sure that it has not been cut also. Rifles have 24 inch barrels and carbines have 20 inch barrels, but, can vary by a 1/4 inch. The cut magazine tube will definitely affect value. Let us know and someone here will try to help you. 0
