If you dont have factory box,what is the best way to package and ship a rifle?

  As a non licensed person { NO FFL}, what are my options in shipping long guns?
  Also the cheapest?

  long guns may be shipped thru the post office, UPS or Fedex by non licensed people, but must be shipped too a FFL . as far as cheapest you can compare rates by going to www.ups.com or www.usps.com,, you will need to know the weight of the box , insurance value (if you want to insure it) and size of package, zip code for where its going. I usually use UPS but its a toss up on who is better
  
  OH and box it like its going to go thru hell and back because thats about what happens to packages[:D]
