I have been looking around at 1911 style pistols lately and was told to stay clear of the Daly pistols and that some parts were not interchangeable without refitting. As to the other brand I do not know. Also the guys at the range told me that they did not think ( say opinion) that these guns would stand up in the long run.

There is the COLT 1911 and Government Models and there is all those that are MERELY copies. If quality and parts compatability are an issue, Colts are ALWAYS compatible with Colts. It's just one mans opinion mind, but I tend to stick with the original. I do own a norinco, bought it when they were less than $200, just to see what the little yellow people were up to. It's pretty good, shoots pretty good, but, it's no Colt.

I have sent the last two Charles Daly's I have sold back to KBI for warranty. [V] They would not feed out of the box. The barrels were not fit properly to the frame. Two unhappy customers later, I don't plan to carry the product any longer. Just my humble opinion.

1911 parts have to be fitted to the Rock Island Armory pistols. Don't know about the Daly's.

A good friend bought 2 of the CD 45s. Took both back to his dealer for failure to feed, poor accuracy, etc. He has since bought 2 Compact Kimbers and is VERY happy with them. Sounds like a gun to stay away from.
