Predator calling

My question is that a hand held caller better or the eletronic game caller better. Any help would be great and any info would great to, and how to books would be great. Thanks for you time and good hunting

  Personally, I prefer the manual callers. I can make the needed sound for whatever conditions there are. When I see a coyote or bobcat, I can modify the sounds to call it closer. With the (coyote) howler call, I can make the sounds that go with the season.
  
  The other evening, the ground was covered with snow and there was zero wind. A condition that make sounds carry for miles. I made the social, "hey, are you there" call. Within 30 seconds, I could hear two dozen coyotes yapping, howling, and answering, from my place all the way to the river. Really got them stirred up.
  
  There are some audio and video tapes available from the makers of manual calls. Primos is one I can think of. They will teach you the basics. The rest you learn from getting out there and doing it.
