Whoa! Hold off on that torture! While there's life there's always hope. If it's a 1903A1 that has been rebarrelled with a 1903A3 barrel, but used to have a scope mounted on it, why not utilize the rear holes and mount a peep sight? The hole spacing may or may not work with an '03A3 peep, but chances are good that it will work with a Williams. In any event, a brief trip to your local gun shop and comparison to the hole spacing of different mounts and sights should solve your problem.

THE HOLES 'SHOULD' BE FOR THE WEAVER #59 AND 45 BASES, THESE ARE CHEAP AND EASILY MODIFIED IF THE HOLES ARE FOR SOMTHING ELSE.

Thanks! Those are two more leads than I have had to date!

I'll look into your possible solutions right away.....life CAN go on.
