Another Colt question (Peace Keeper)
Would $300.00 be too much to pay for a Colt Peacekeeper .357.
It's in very nice condition. It's got the original colt grips and
no noticeable wear at all.

well, I'm definitly willing to spend 300.00 but I don't want to get my shorts ripped if I can find one less expensive.

sounds like a fair price. maybe even a little low with the way colt prices have been lately.... 0 -
You probably won't find one in the same condition for any less.
Blue Book:
95% = $275
98% = $325

There's also another way to look at it. These guns were only made in 4 and 6 inch barrels, matte black finish, (like the AR-15 of the same time), and they were only made the last part of 1985, throughout 1986, and a very few made in early 1987. This gun is so "UGLY" it didn't have a great deal of demand! Colt, therefore, didn't make too many of them. Because of this, I would believe they will never go down in value, but I wouldn't put one away to "retire on!" These guns are identical mechanically and silhouette wise to the Trooper MK V. However, they got only the minimum amount of polishing so the matte finish would adhere to the metal real well. Except for the finish, they handle and shoot like a Trooper MK V.....and look like one! They have the nice red ramp front sight, white outline rear Accro adjustable sight, and are a very pleasant, accurate gun to fire.
