Ruger 9mm pre-ban ( 15 round) mags

Other than factory ruger mags what brand(s) are accceptable. I have been told to stay away from USA mags. What about Mec-gar? Thanks.

  MecGar are good mags,Promag would be my next choice mainly because they have worked for me.And they are at the drawing board for makeing Mags for Ruger at this time.

  mec-gar has been contracted to make of the factory mags for companies in the past. I find them to fit and function very well.
  
  The way I see it,If YOUR rifle shot as well as YOU say,...we wouldn't need gunsmiths.

  I had a ProMag Ruger 9mm 15-rd. mag that didn't work worth a crap. I changed the follower to a factory Ruger one and it works like a charm. You can order them from Ruger. Kinda cost prohibitive, but if you already have one that doesn't work it's worth it to get it functional.

  Mec-gar or Factory for Self-Defense.
  Waste your money on other brands for Plinking.
  There are still some good deals out there.
  I just picked up a Ruger 15 Round Factory Mag for $16.50
