.380 Two Tone Pistol

I am looking to buy a self defence weapon and have the oppertunity
to buy a .380 two tone pistol by High Point Firearms. Does anybody have any experence with this gun and can tell me how good of a gun it is.

  My son bought one of those "High Point" 380's. He asked me about it before he bought it. I told him it probably was a POS, and it was!
  Stay away from that low quality junk, save a few more dollars, and get a quality name firearm.

  i would not use a high point for self defense, if i was going to use a 380 i would look at a walther ppks or a browning. my opinion is based on what i see when i look at them, i dont like the quality.

  I second what k.stanonik said. Look at something else. If you are sold on the 380, I would also look at the Bersa Thunder 380. An inexpensive gun, but not cheap by anymeans. You can find them around here (the duotone model) for around $220 NIB. I have put app. 2500 rounds through mine, and never a problem. And it has eaten anything I have fed it.
