Enterprise 1911
I have a fellow leo friend that asked me today if I knew anything about a 1911 type pistol made by Enterprise Arms. I told him that I'd never heard of one before but he got my curiosity up so I found two listed on another site. One was $1100.00 and the other was $1000.00 and both were listed as having Wilson slides. I told him what I'd found and he advised me that he could pick it up for $450.00. My question is , are they all fitted with Wilson products or what is the history behind these ?

They sell complete guns or frame kits. They are high cap frames that take Para-ordernace P-14 magazines. I bought on of their frame kits about 4 years ago and built a pistol with a Colt slide. I don't know whose slides they use on their custom pistols. 0 -
Without knowing 1) who made all the parts, and 2) who assembled it, your friend would be taking a big chance. It may be a great gun.......or it might not function at all.
$450 is too much money to spend for a pig-in-a-poke.

Entreprise Arms has their own web site. It says they have their own custom 1911s and the 1911 kit, but they have been out of stock on all their 1911 models and the kit for about a year now. I have been looking for one of their 1911s or a kit. If your friend found a 1911 Entreprise arms (not a Wilson custom) for $450 I would buy it. 0 -
Para-Ord offers a similar kit. A high cap frame + mags and you add your own parts and slide from a 1911-A1 model pistol. 0
