NO CARRY LAW

In Wisconsin we "do not have the right" to carry a concealed hand gun.What i would like to know is what the law is concerning carrying a firearm in a vehicle.Im an avid hunter and i know about unloaded and fully cased as it goes for long guns but i want to keep a hand gun in my truck, do the same laws apply?
