I have a Model 52 Winchester .22 long, pat. Nov. 26th 1919, serial # 22643 and a Double rifle made by Tobin Arms Mfg. Co. They belonged to my great uncle who kept them in great condition with all the manuals,instructions, ammo, etc. The last time these were fired was back in 1938. I cannot find any information on these models (especially Tobin Arms) as far as collectabliity or value. Any help?

If it is a Speed lock Mdl add $150
Check and if its 22LR not Long I don't think it was chambered for any but 22LR as it is a Target

Strangely enough, found (2) listings for Tobin. 1,# 19th Century, Norwich, Connecticut. 2,# 20th Century, Woodstock, Ont. Canada.
Neither seems right for a Double Rifle. Is there any Proof Marks or other markings on the rifle that you can tell us about? How about the Manuals or any other documentation, your Uncle might have had?0 -
As far as the Tobin goes, it's a sidelock double rifle, made by Tobin Arms, Mrg. Co. (1930's) out of New Haven, Conn. I do not have manuals on this one, only the Win 52. Thanks... 0 -
Norwich CT and New Haven CT are only about 50 miles apart. That 1930's date sure seems strange though, maybe Tobin stayed in existence to the depression making custom order guns? 0 -
Am interested in the Tobin...what calibre is this? Length of barrels, sights, etc. If US marked had to be made before 1910 otherwise made in Canada ( 1910-1923 and then makeup guns after that till early 1950's.) Any photos?
