SAR 1 + Cetme
I want to buy one of these, maybe both by this summer. Does anyone have any comments on the SAR 1 I know little about it's reliability and things of that nature, though I assume it's pretty good being an AK. The Cetme bothers me, the way century just slaps the parts together worries me. If I find one of these problems can an average gunsmith fix it?

Been doing some more looking at aimsurplus.com have anything to say about Albanian or Yugoslav SKS's

Albanians are probably one of the rarest SKS rifles. If you buy one, take good care of it, parts are slightly different and they are likely to go up in value. Yugo SKS's are good quality and shoot well. Any SKS will perform well, some just perform better than others. Russian, Yugo, and Romanian SKS rifle tend to shoot best in my experience. Chinese SKS's work great but the accuracy varies dramatically because of their various plants that build them. I have a 16" Norinco Paratrooper that is assembled, fitted, and shoots as well as my 21" Romanian. I also have a 21" Norinco that won't shoot good groups. A lot of mfg. tolerances with Norincos. You should be alright with any SKS or SAR you pick up. If you want a good CETME for a good price, the Century-built ones are very good. 0 -
I know Century makes them but how common are some of the problems that I have heard of. Like the muzzle brake on the end, the pins that mount it sometimes extend into the bore a little. What I am asking is, what are the chances that I will find something wrong with it?

That's what gunsmiths are for! If you buy it, disassemble, clean, and check everything. That's good advice with any new gun. I hadn't heard about the muzzlebrake thing. That anchor pin hole would have to be way off if it went into the bore. Might be worth having a smithy check it for headspace and function before using it too. It'd be money well spent.
