Man, the curse of being left-handed! I feel his pain! I shoot left-handed and had to train myself to shoot right-handed guns. You get used to it after a while. Working a bolt is awkward at first, but you get used to it. Worse is my Marlin 30-30. Ejected brass hits me on the arm, and that stuff is hot! I can't help much with the 760. Have heard of somea accuracy problems, but don't know how substantial they are. Have you looked at the NEF rifles? Only single shot, but about any caliber you want or need, and being single-shot, they are ambidextrious.

Taxation WITH representation isn't so hot either!

bulldozer; Unless you can get the 760 for less than $250.00 don't bother, they're not worth more than that. I have one and have killed quite a few deer with it, but I DON'T like it but that is just an opinion.. Take heed to bhayes420's advice and go with a single shot,
Not only is it the perfect first time rifle, but it has great accuracy and dependability. A single shot will teach you self control and patience, which a whole lot more of us could use.
NEF makes a wide variety of calibers for about $220.00 - $250.00
