Colt SP1 - Green Label? White Label?
AR-15 Experts,
I have a Colt SP1 Sportster and thanks to 10,000 different opinions at a gun show, am wondering what, if any, kind of "Label classification" it is exactly?
Serial "SP 865xx", I found a serial list saying that it was made in 1978.
It's got the triangular foregrip, A1 sights, birdcage flash suppressor, and no forward assist.
Would this a Green Label? and/or a White Label? If not/so, what classifies a gun into these "Label" categories?
The gun is 100% condition (unfired), any rough idea what it's worth?
Thanks

Your rifle is an SP1 Sporter, not Sportster.
No one cared about the color of the label in the pre-ban era; it became an issue only in the transition to post-ban.
I would expect it to sell in the area of $1,000, a little more if in the box with all original accessories.
