If you have a take down Model 12, It is easy as.
    1. Push the take down pin on the magazine tube back through the mag. tube
    2. Look a the bottom of the magazine, and you will see a arrow.By using the take down pin that you just pushed, back through the magazine, turn the tube, till the arrow is 90 degrees to the right(looking from the bottom).
3.Push the action release button on the reciever, while at the same time pulling the fore-arm out of the reciever.
4.The fore-arm, will slide up the barrel, with the action tube.
5.Now making sure that the magazine tube, and fore- arm bar have cleared the reciever, turn the whole barrel assembly, with mag. tube,
to the right 90 degrees, and lift the entire assembly off the reciever.
I know this sounds complicated, but you can do it in about 5 seconds, with practice. This way you don't have to remove parts, that you can lose. If you have any more questions, let us know.
